I have lived in area for a long time .. came in here years ago. I eat Chinese regularly.. been to China - Hong King specifically.
The Kung Pao chicken is a staple and real lover of Hot and Sour.
Overall very good - compared to Portland excellent!
The chicken comes small cubed .. tender no gristle - well cooked tender and juicy. I think the cubed makes it easier to cook right neither over or under cooked.
It works for me. Egg Roll and hot and sour comes with meal - Szechwan style is perfect and even the red pepper are diced out to have in meal which i like and typically cut up as i don't eat whole.
Cook is a thinker in back..
hot and sour is good again- next to Portland very good.
At 6.75 for lunch a very good deal!!

    Good job! Recommended!

I don't usually do reviews but felt compelled to do so for this dining establishment. I ordered pork fried rice and pork chop suey.  Both were nothing like I expected and not in a good way. The rice had bits of what looked like boiled pork through out and the rice was gray in color. No taste at all. The same applied to the chop suey. Not edible for me, no flavor at all. The fried won ton was so hard, it could have broke my teeth. The only thing acceptable about the entire meal was the price and even that was debatable. Sorry for this type of review and perhaps others find it delicious, i just dont.

Today I went to the imperial Garden and ordered the Mongolian Beef.   When my food came out it was 85% onions and I had to pick through to find the beef. I order this dish always and I know it's suppose to have more meat. $12.00 for oily onions and a sprinkle of beef is not my idea of a good meal.  The waitress didn't offer to discount or bring me another dish.  Highly disappointed in my visit today.  ALSO! They let a lady in with a DOG without a leash. No it wasn't a service dog. It was running free at one point while she played video lottery.   I hope the next time I go eat there it's better. I've been going here for over 10 years so I'm sure I'll be back. Just highly disappointed in todays experience.

We've passed by this restaurant several times a week for many years but never stopped in to try it until just a couple of months ago. We ordered a large family meal, for 5, with both chicken and beef entrees, rice, bbq pork and more. The soups were very good and surprised us all. The rest of the food was good but isn't going to make the top of the list for take out for us. The staff was very friendly and had our order all packed and ready for us when we arrived. Definitely worth stopping in to try and don't forget to order some soup!

We really liked Imperial Garden Restaurant.

Great ish location. Right on McLoughlin Blvd.

    Lot's of parking

On a Saturday afternoon it wasn't busy at all, not for the size of the place.

The lottery section is small and in the corner.

The bar... The bar is just an area the employees make drinks at. So your drinks are enjoyed at your table. We just had water service with our meals.

The service was great. My only complaint is that,  we were brought to the back where the bigger family table's are and seated right next to the only other group in the back. There were other large table's. I guess they were thinking about putting us next to the window for the view... The view is of Mcloughlin blvd. and the fenced in area for the garbage cans. We didn't really care. We like to talk and eat. So we really didn't look outside much.

There were 6 of us. 5 adults and a child. We all had different items off the lunch menu. I had Kung Pao Chicken. Lunch items come with a cup of soup. We all had the Egg Flower Soup. Only 1 person didn't like the soup. He's a picky eater, so no surprise there. His Uncle happily ate his soup. Lunch items also come with a Fried Egg Roll and a phallic looking Fried Won Ton. Not kidding! Look n see for yourself. Don't see it? Turn it over. Now? lol. I only had to show the adults my Won Ton and ask.
What does this look like? After they stopped laughing. They all said the same thing. That brought up the festivities they celebrate in Japan and other countries. Not a lot could be said as there was a child sitting with us.

Almost everything was awesome except for the Fried Egg Roll. Gross! Just a fried grease roll of flavorless overcooked vegetables. I have only found 1 place in this state that has awesome Egg Rolls. I was just there this weekend and they are still amazing!

Everything else though was great. My Kung Pao Chicken was spicy but not choke you out hot. Lot's of flavor and tons of chicken. All the items were big portions. A couple koi had trouble finishing their meals. A couple couldn't finish and needed a box. We only had 1 appetizer and that was the Pork App. Also yummy.

The lunch items were pretty inexpensive. Especially for the portion size. That day they had a few tables so the kitchen wasn't that busy but our food was quick and hot. It probably took us longer to figure out what we wanted, than it took our order to come out. Lots of parking and plenty of seats. I know we will be back. Just not for Fried Egg Rolls. lol.
